Our Process: Step 1

Pre-Screening

As a newly enrolled applicant you will complete an interview and profile with our Intake department. Afterwards you will be asked to visit with your OB/gyn to gain medical clearance. Our team also assists you with scheduling a psychological assessment and home-visit. Meanwhile, all of your previous pregnancy records are collected for review.

Matching

Based on your matching preferences, Intended Parent profiles are presented for consideration. Should you agree to move forward, the official matching process begins and a member of your assigned care team reaches out to facilitate introductions.

Legal

After a match has been finalized and the in-person medical exam is completed, attorney referrals will be provided to assist you with the legal agreement phase of your surrogacy journey.

Embryo Transfer

As you begin the prescribed medication protocol, your care team will monitor your progress, and coordinate all travel arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for your big day.

FAQ for Surrogates

Do I need to live in Illinois where your agency is located?

Nope! You do not have to live in Illinois to be a Surrogate with our agency. You can live in any of the surrogacy friendly states from which we recruit that have favorable surrogacy laws. If you are unsure about whether your state is good for surrogacy, please reach out to a member of our team and we’d be glad to check for you.

After a successful match with Intended Parents you will travel to the location of their clinic for your screening, and back for the embryo transfer. All expenses are paid by the Intended Parents. As your agency, we will coordinate all travel and appointments to make your journey as stress-free as possible.

How long does it take to match with Intended Parents?

For a Surrogate, the process of being matched can typically take as little as 60 days on average. This largely depends on how fast you are able to sign and return all required agency documents back to us. After your intake interview is complete you will be asked to sign our agency agreement, background check form, and medical release waivers. Only then can we begin to request your medical records. Upon review and confirmation of eligibility, the matching phase can begin.

The average match is generally completed in 30-60 days, as we like to take our time and thoroughly find the best placement that will result in the highest chance for success and happiness. The Surrogate and Intended Parent relationship is of the utmost importance. Our best efforts are made to create a seamless and cohesive match which results in chemistry and positivity throughout the journey.

Do you issue 1099 tax forms to your Surrogates?

Nope! We are not in the business of providing tax advice. We do not issue 1099 forms or require that you pay taxes on your compensation. What you do with your compensation is solely your responsibility.

For tax advice you should contact a licensed Certified Public Accountant who specializes in tax filings.
