Golden’s preparation guidance and your clinician’s medical instructions have different roles. Contact your treating clinician and Golden before making a change. A general video should not become your personal medication or contraception plan.
Tell the team what you currently use
Provide the requested information about your contraception accurately during screening. Include questions you have about a device, a prescription, or timing. Your Care Team can explain how the information fits into Golden’s process, while a clinician addresses the medical decision.
Do not assume that a friend’s schedule will apply to you. The clinic needs to plan around your individual circumstances and its treatment requirements.
Understand the planning issue in the video
Frank’s recommendation is to address IUD or implant removal before matching so preparation does not unexpectedly delay the next stage. He explains that the fertility clinic may want to see one full cycle, and sometimes two, before medical clearance. In the recording, he describes a possible two-to-four-month planning interval. Your treating clinic must confirm what applies to you; that example is not an individual clearance date.
Ask Golden which steps it wants completed before match consideration and ask your clinician how to carry them out appropriately. Keep those answers together so you do not interpret an agency milestone as an instruction to make a medical change on your own.

- Does my current contraceptive method affect the proposed preparation plan?
- If a change is needed, who should arrange it and when?
- What instructions apply before and after that change?
- What information does the fertility clinic need before confirming readiness?
- Whom should I contact if my circumstances or symptoms change?
Keep matching and medical clearance separate
Completing a preparation step does not by itself establish eligibility or medical clearance. Golden still needs to complete its review, and the fertility clinic makes its own decision about treatment readiness.
