A surrogacy payment schedule connects your overall budget with the dates or milestones when funds must be available. You also need to know when funds must be available. A family may have a reasonable overall budget and still be unprepared for a payment milestone.

In the recording, Frank describes around $150,000 as a typical starting budget, subject to the caveats discussed in a consultation. He names agency fees, Surrogate compensation, legal and clinical expenses, insurance, and an escrow reserve beyond base compensation. This is an earlier cost discussion. For current pricing and program terms, use Golden’s current program pages and your written proposal. The payment-calendar guidance below builds on that budgeting message; the video itself does not set payment due dates.

Start with your written surrogacy payment schedule

List the payments in your selected program agreement in the order they become due. Use the event that triggers each payment, such as retaining the agency or reaching a later milestone, alongside any date that has already been confirmed.

Golden Signature and Golden Guarantee organize expenses differently. Under Golden Signature, Intended Parents fund third-party and journey expenses separately. Under Golden Guarantee, covered obligations are funded within the program’s defined structure, while exclusions remain separate. Review the program comparison and current payment explanation before building your calendar.

Keep separate expenses visible

A program installment is not necessarily the only amount needed at that stage. Ask your fertility clinic, attorney, and other relevant providers about their own payment schedules. Include excluded expenses rather than assuming they will be covered by the next agency payment.

If embryo creation or donor services are part of your plan, identify those commitments specifically. The goal is to see the full sequence of obligations, including work that may happen before a Surrogate match.

Create a payment calendar

  • Name the expense and the person or provider receiving payment.
  • Record the amount or mark it as awaiting a current quote.
  • Identify the milestone or date that makes it due.
  • Note where the funds will come from and when they will be available.
  • Flag any expense that could recur or change with the journey.

Review readiness before each milestone

Check your calendar with your team when the plan changes. A delayed appointment, revised travel arrangement, or new provider quote may affect the forecast. Keep a reserve distinct from funds already committed to scheduled payments.

Our escrow reserve guide explains why that separation matters. If a milestone would arrive before your funds are available, discuss the situation before committing to the next step. A clear conversation early is more useful than discovering the gap when a payment is due.
