A Surrogate match is an important step, but it is not the same as final medical clearance from your fertility clinic. Golden’s Surrogate Screening Guarantee addresses the financial impact of a covered disqualification at the in-person medical screening appointment.

In this video, Frank explains why Golden takes responsibility for this part of the process. This article connects that explanation with the current Golden Guarantee program so you can understand the protection within the program’s full terms.

What the screening protection addresses

Golden completes its pre-screening process before match presentation. The Intended Parents’ fertility clinic then makes its own medical clearance decision. A candidate may still be disqualified at that appointment. The screening protection concerns that defined situation; it does not promise that screening, embryo transfer, or pregnancy will succeed.

Under the current Golden Guarantee program description, covered screening costs may include clinical screening fees, airfare and lodging, approved lost wages, childcare, and a per diem meal allowance associated with the covered appointment. The signed program agreement determines which costs and circumstances apply.

The older video discusses screening reimbursement alongside a complimentary rematch. The current program explains Surrogate Screening Guarantee and covered rematching as related protections with their own terms. Ask your team to identify how each applies to the circumstances of your journey.

This distinction matters when you are comparing programs. A replacement match alone does not tell you who is responsible for a previous screening bill, a new appointment, or travel. Each expense should have a clear place in the written explanation.

Questions to review before choosing a program

  • What event makes a screening expense eligible for coverage?
  • Which travel arrangements and other expenses need approval in advance?
  • How are covered expenses paid or reimbursed, and what records are needed?
  • What happens next if the clinic does not clear the candidate?
  • Which costs remain outside the program, and how does embryo availability affect a new match?

Compare the complete program

Golden Signature and Golden Guarantee share Golden’s premium screening and matching standard, but their financial structures differ. Do not assume that a protection described for one program applies in the same way to another. Use the current program comparison and your agreement together.

Keep a written copy of the explanation that applies when you retain Golden. If a short video, an older article, or a general example raises a question, bring it to your consultation. The goal is to understand your actual responsibilities before a situation arises.
