Golden exclusively manages and guides gestational surrogacy journeys. In gestational surrogacy, the Surrogate carries an embryo created through IVF and has no genetic relationship to the child. LGBTQ+ journeys follow the same coordinated structure Golden uses for every Intended Parent, with attention to the donor, medical, and legal planning each family needs.

Golden recruits and screens Surrogates directly, then presents a candidate whose expectations, communication style, and legal circumstances fit yours. Matching is mutual.

Legal, Medical, and Embryo-Transfer Preparation
Independent attorneys prepare and negotiate the gestational carrier agreement. The clinic completes medical screening and clearance before a single embryo transfer is scheduled.

Building the Medical Foundation
Donor, IVF, and Embryo Planning
For many people researching surrogacy for gay men or gay couples, embryo creation begins with an egg donor and IVF. Other LGBTQ+ Intended Parents need donor sperm, and some need both.
Golden coordinates with experienced independent fertility clinics and donor programs so each professional remains focused on their area of expertise. Golden does not replace your clinic’s medical judgment and does not provide medical advice.
You may begin with Golden before choosing a clinic or completing embryo creation. Before Golden presents a Surrogate for match consideration, you must have at least one PGT-tested embryo that your fertility clinic has deemed suitable for transfer.
Golden recommends three PGT-tested embryos considered suitable for transfer. Many Surrogates prefer Intended Parents to have more than one opportunity for transfer, so embryo quantity can affect matching preferences and timing.
Golden follows a single-embryo-transfer policy. Male partners who wish to create separately identified embryos can discuss that plan with their fertility clinic. Sperm is not mixed. Available options depend on the clinic, the gametes, the donor plan, and individual circumstances.

Parentage rules vary by state, by country, and by circumstance. Marital status, biological connection, the Surrogate’s location, and your own residence can all affect the process your attorney recommends.
Several legal pathways may apply, depending on the facts of the journey. These can include a pre-birth order, post-birth order, parentage order, confirmatory adoption, second-parent adoption, or another process. No single procedure applies universally. Your independent attorney determines what is appropriate for your family.
Parentage planning begins before embryo transfer, not after birth. Golden builds these steps into the journey timeline so the legal work moves alongside the medical work rather than behind it.
International Intended Parents may also need citizenship, passport, and travel guidance from qualified professionals in their home country. Golden can help you organize those conversations early.
Working with an agency in another state is common in surrogacy, since the Surrogate’s location often governs the legal process. Does a Surrogacy Agency Need to Be Local?
