The Age Requirement: Finding the Sweet Spot
Golden accepts Surrogate applications from ages 23 through 37. This is Golden’s application range, not a state-law age rule or automatic medical approval. Other agencies and fertility clinics may apply different criteria.
Golden’s Enhanced Surrogate Criteria use ages 24 through 36 for Premium Surrogate Sourcing. The broader application range allows the team to review timing and individual circumstances. Applying does not automatically establish eligibility for a particular match or program.

A previous uncomplicated pregnancy provides useful history, but it does not guarantee the outcome of a future pregnancy.

The Truth About C-Sections
A previous C-section does not automatically disqualify an applicant. Golden’s agency criteria allow no more than one previous C-section and no more than three previous deliveries in total.
Your full surgical and pregnancy history matters. Qualified medical professionals assess those records, and the fertility clinic decides whether you can be medically cleared for the proposed journey.
If you have had one C-section, you may meet Golden’s numerical limit, but the rest of your history still needs review. Golden coordinates medical-record collection through a professional third-party service and review by qualified medical professionals. The agency does not medically interpret the records itself.
Health and BMI: Setting the Foundation
