Dear reader, if you do not already know me, I am Frank Golden. I am the agency director and founder of Golden Surrogacy, one of the nation’s leading surrogacy agencies. This story starts over a decade ago when my husband, Adam, and I experienced a life-altering moment: our daughter, Sophia, was born. She was delivered via C-section, and Adam and I were able to witness her birth from a distance, watching through a glass window in the hallway of the hospital. The sight of our Surrogate bringing our baby into the world was an indescribable experience.
Shortly after her delivery, Sophia was cleaning up and wheeled into the room where Adam and I were finally able to hold her. As I sat in a chair, cradling this precious bundle of joy, I looked up at Adam and thought, “Wow.” In that moment, it struck me that everyone deserves the chance to experience this incredible feeling of having a family. I was overwhelmed by the miracle we had just been blessed with. Holding Sophia in my arms for the first time was a moment I will hold onto forever.
The phrase “Everyone Deserves a Family” resonates deeply with me, and became a guiding principle in our lives. It became the driving force behind the creation of Golden Surrogacy. When we launched our surrogacy agency nearly a year later, we wanted to share a personal letter on our website, written from my perspective. We also wanted to create a slogan that truly embodied our vision of surrogacy. That is when the phrase “Everyone Deserves a Family” resurfaced in my mind. It captured the essence of what we wanted to achieve with Golden Surrogacy—to provide a gateway to the LGBTQ+ community, couples facing infertility, single individuals, and others who could not conceive naturally or form a family on their own. This tagline represented our heartfelt belief that everyone, regardless of circumstances, deserves the opportunity to build a family. Looking back on that moment, it is hard to believe it has been over a decade since Sophia’s birth. The slogan “Everyone Deserves a Family” still holds true for us today. Our fully remote team continues to share that principle. It guides the way we support Intended Parents and Surrogates wherever they are in their journey.
