The first step toward becoming a Surrogate is sharing enough information for Golden to begin a conversation about your eligibility. A short inquiry opens that conversation. It does not complete the application or establish that you are approved for a journey.

Frank’s video introduces the process. This guide explains what to prepare and why the review continues after you first hear from the team.

Read the current requirements first

Golden’s requirements describe the circumstances its program is prepared to support. Read them before applying and ask about anything you do not understand. Avoid deciding that one detail makes you eligible or ineligible without considering the full criteria and your actual history.

The screening requirements guide explains why Golden takes the review seriously. Honest information helps the team direct you to the appropriate next step.

Complete the application accurately

An initial inquiry may request only basic information. The fuller application and follow-up process require more detail about your health, pregnancy history, and circumstances. Take time to answer carefully and flag anything you need help clarifying.

Keep contact information current so the team can reach you. If a requested record is not immediately available, explain the situation rather than guessing at what it says.

Prepare for records and screening

  • Gather the provider information Golden requests for relevant records.
  • Be ready to discuss your previous pregnancies and deliveries accurately.
  • Think through household support, work, childcare, and travel availability.
  • Write down questions about compensation, expectations, or the next stage.
  • Let your team know if your circumstances change during the review.

Understand what an acceptance means

Preliminary acceptance is a step in the process. It does not replace later screening or the fertility clinic’s medical clearance. Golden and the clinic have their own responsibilities, and additional information may be requested before a journey can proceed.

Our Surrogate intake guide explains the review in more detail. Golden’s team is fully remote, so contacting and working with the agency does not require a visit to a Golden office. Required in-person medical appointments are arranged through the appropriate clinical providers.

Begin with your questions

You do not need to have every part of the journey planned before reaching out. You should understand that becoming a Surrogate involves a careful mutual decision. Golden can explain the process, and you can decide whether the commitment fits your life as you learn more.

After your inquiry, an Intake Specialist contacts you to explain Golden’s program and the gestational surrogacy process. If you want more information before deciding, ask for the current written materials or an opportunity to speak with a previous Surrogate. Those are the additional ways to learn that Frank highlights in the video.
